Safety. Do not charge a battery that is swollen, has taken a knock, got wet or runs hot, and never send it by cargo. Keep the scooter outdoors, away from anything flammable, and call us straight away.
What it does and when it needs service
The battery’s management system (BMS) records its charge and discharge history. If range has dropped sharply, the battery will not charge, or the scooter shuts off while showing charge, we run a capacity and BMS test. Segway advises storing an unused scooter at 50% charge or more and never charging below 0 °C.
